Worldcupticketshop is a trading name of De Papegaai, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42040224, with its registered office at Kustweg 69, 9933 AC Delfzijl, the Netherlands. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean De Papegaai trading as Worldcupticketshop; "you" and "your" mean the customer using the website or placing an order.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website, requesting a quotation, or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the website or place an order.

3. How orders and quotations work

Worldcupticketshop operates a quotation-first model for FIFA World Cup 2026™ tickets. When you submit a quotation request:

1. Your seat preferences are reserved while a specialist verifies live availability and price.
2. Within four (4) hours of submission you receive a formal quotation by email and in your account dashboard.
3. The quotation is a non-binding offer. It is only binding once you accept it by completing payment via the secure link or bank-transfer reference we provide.
4. Seats are held for 24 hours after the quotation is issued. If you choose bank transfer and upload a valid proof of payment within that window, the hold is extended until the funds clear.
5. If a quotation expires or we cannot fulfil the order, no payment is requested and no obligation arises on either side.

4. Pricing, payment & taxes

Prices on the website are indicative and may vary by availability, currency conversion, and the date of your quotation. Service fees and applicable taxes (BTW / VAT) are shown separately on every quotation and invoice. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. By choosing a payment method you authorise the relevant processor or bank to debit your account for the amount shown on the quotation.

For B2B orders, valid VAT/Tax identification can be supplied at checkout; reverse-charge handling is applied where EU rules allow.

5. Delivery of tickets

Most tickets are mobile-only and tied to your name at the point of transfer, per FIFA policy. We aim to deliver:

• Group-stage matches: 7–14 days before kickoff;
• Round of 32 / Round of 16: 5–10 days before kickoff;
• Quarter-finals onwards: 3–7 days before kickoff;
• The Final: 48–72 hours before kickoff.

You will receive a delivery notification by email and in your account dashboard. Travel arrangements should not be made on the assumption of earlier delivery.

6. Cancellations, refunds & the Buyer Guarantee

Because tickets are an event-based service tied to a specific date, the statutory right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83 (Article 16(l)) does not apply. You may not cancel a confirmed order simply because you change your mind.

However, our Buyer Guarantee provides a full refund (ticket price plus all fees) if:

• FIFA cancels the match and does not reschedule it within twelve (12) months;
• We fail to deliver authentic, valid tickets in time for the event;
• The seats delivered do not match the category, section or row described in your confirmed quotation (and no upgrade is offered).

7. Stadium entry & ticket use

Tickets are subject to FIFA's standard terms of admission, including identification requirements, security checks, prohibited items, and behaviour rules. The name on each ticket must match a valid government-issued ID at entry. Tickets may not be resold above face value where prohibited by local law or by FIFA's resale policy.

8. Your account & responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity that takes place under your account. Provide accurate and current information, especially the legal name that will appear on the tickets, and notify us promptly of any changes.

9. Liability & disclaimers

We act in good faith to deliver authentic tickets through a vetted network of international ticket partners. To the extent permitted by Dutch law, our maximum aggregate liability is limited to the total amount you paid for the order in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as travel, accommodation, or lost income arising from event cancellation or rescheduling, beyond the refund of the ticket price and our service fees.

10. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent Dutch court most appropriate for the defendant under the Dutch Code of Civil Procedure, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence grant you the right to bring proceedings before another court. EU residents can also use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the current version came into effect. Any orders or quotations created before a change are governed by the version of the terms in force at the time of submission.

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

We do not store full credit card numbers. Payments are processed by PCI-DSS Level 1 certified providers who handle card data on our behalf.

5. Who we share your data with

We share data with carefully chosen processors who help us operate the service:

• Supabase (database & authentication, EU region) — order data, account credentials;
• Resend (transactional email) — name, email, order reference, payment instructions;
• Hostinger (web hosting, EU servers) — page logs, IP addresses;
• Payment processors (Stripe / Adyen / iDEAL banks etc.) — card or bank details for the specific transaction;
• Ticket allocation partners — your full name and seat assignment, as required for stadium entry;
• Google Analytics & Google Ads — only if you accept analytics/marketing cookies.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

6. International transfers

Most of our processors store data inside the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred to non-EEA countries (for example, certain Google services in the United States), we rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as the legal mechanism for the transfer.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Request deletion ("right to be forgotten"), subject to our legal retention obligations;
• Restrict or object to certain processing;
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format;
• Withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent;

What are cookies?
